On October 10, 2010 St. Peter’s, Ottawa, celebrated its 100th Anniversary under the themed banner of “Thanksgiving”. Located in the heart of downtown Ottawa, St. Peter’s has a long and proud history within the community. A year-long celebration was held from Thanksgiving 2009 to Thanksgiving 2010, with weekly events that built upon monthly themes. The year-long events culminated in a special 100th Anniversary Service at which the Rev. Susan Johnson, National ELCIC Bishop, preached and St. Peter’s choir performed a specially-commissioned 100th Anniversary anthem.
